No Klingons?

Slashdot is running a headline that states there will be no Klingons in the upcoming Trek movie.

Is it still trek without Klingons?

From what I have heard, they are right. There is romulans, which throws the whole War with Roms into question. (Balance of Terror).

Still I want to see it .

The must've used the Charmin maneuver...

They wiped the klingons clean out of the Trek universe...

Maybe not.  If Kirk actually sees them (not their ship) he might well assume them to be Vulcan.  If they traveled into the past using the "Guardian of Forever" they didn't take their ship with them so it should be individuals seen and likely disguised as Vulcans.

As to no Klingons, you don't have to have Klingons in every movie or every TV episode.  Just in the best ones naturally.

If you were a Romulan and knew how to access the "Guardian of Forever" when would you go back in time to and what would you do?

I would think to before the Earth Romulan war with all the information you could pack on advanced technologies and intelligence on which races would become dangerous.  Include how to interface your database to then existing Romulan technology and spend 20 years boot strapping their technology 200 years ahead then expand by conquering those dangerous worlds.

None of this "lets kill Kirk" nonsense.  Do something that the Romulans would benefit from big time.

I can tell you put a lot of thought into this Nemesis? ;)

The other thing, that I would like to see, Is if the other ship seen in the trailers is the Farragut, and If Kirk still fights the Cloud monster.

Not really.  I do wish however that the so called creative staff of these movies and TV shows would do so.  Too many of them have people who should have had lots of time to plan things doing things that on first glance might sound good but on consideration are STUPID.

Just my opinion of course.
