Video decoder problems with my TV tuner
« on: March 29, 2009, 09:07:33 am »
You guys are awesome. Every time I have a problem, one of you can tell me how to fix it. I hope you can help me again.

My computer crashed and I had to do a fresh install of windows. I lost all of my files, but I was able to recover a lot via a back hard drive. The problem I have now is the video decoder for my TV tuner. I have downloaded Windows Media 11, drivers from ATI, and used the drivers from my Dell driver CD. Nothing seems to work. I can watch videos and the rest of the media player seems to work fine. It's just I can't watch or record TV.

Do any of you have a suggestion on how I could fix this. Thanks!

Check this out! I found it to be very helpful
Download and install the K lite codec pack  from here   it should give you almost any codec that you need.
