SFC1 question
« on: March 20, 2009, 08:38:04 am »
Hi everyone,
     I do not post here often because I  have not played SFC1 in a while. I have re-installed the game and have a slight issue. The game loads ups fine, but when I quit to windows, the screen goes black and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get it back. And even then, it takes awhile for it to come back. Any hints as to why this is happening? I am using Win XP and I have all the updates. If you need my DXdiag file, I'll have to get gthat later. At work right now.

Thanks,
Raed

KBF-Krock,
       I followed that to the letter. I might have to re-install again and see if it works.

It seems that the setup command does not save my resolution setting when I change it. Any way of making this work?

I don't have SFC1 installed, but is there an SFC.ini file for SFC1 that you can set the game resolution in, like there is for SFC2?

Go to your SFC1 folder and run config.exe directly. Don't know why but the menu shortcut sometimes doesn't work.

Or, if you want to edit sfc.ini manually:
[3D]
lowres=3 (0=800x600, 1=640x480, 3=1024x768, 5=1280x1024)
driver=1 (1 is your video card, 0 is software mode)
