Wow! Lots of questions heh.. we I'll answer 2 of them before I need to go eat...
12-
Prometheus weapons appear to be standard missiles (either nuclear or high yield non-nuclear designed to combat Motherships.. dont recall ever seeing one hit anything so I dunno, probably both types) as well as many twin pair rapid fire huge machine guns obviously designed more for the gliders and Al'kesh(Sp?) (since its ordinance in all the episodes was exhausted QUICKLY)
IF it had survived, then it would have been refitted with Rail Guns later on
18-
The Asgard race was kinda busy trying to solve their cloning problem, they were a weak race at this time, and they really didn't have the forces to combat that many ships either at that time.

I don't have all the answers off hand but will give the ones I'm pretty sure of.

Rebel against Ra.

They chose not to.  Perhaps they felt that it would be a dead end like their cloning.  Link to my old post "Campaign to save the Asgard"

Never reavealed in the show.  In one of the novels it was claimed that the "giants" found by Daniels Grandfather were artificial constructs created by the Furling and presumably in their own image.

He did go off to school it was not revealed where he lived.  Presuambly he lived with a family arranged by the Air Force for a year or two before moving into his own apartment.

I would say two reasons.

1/ the reason they didn't show up every time the goa'auld got out of line - lack of ships due to the replicators

2/ They already knew that Anubis had weapons that could defeat their ships and could not afford the losses that would occur in the battle.

I'd say that he lived by himself. He did have all the memories of jack O'Neill so I'm sure he would do just fine by hmself. He told the old Jack that the Air force had set him up so I'd also assume that he was on some kind of stipend for a number of years.

I think the clone was supposed to be about 15 which is why I expected him to live with a family.  It could easily be in a house where he has a separate apartment and only "officially" is under their foster care.  The problem is not with his ability but with society.  When it got out that this "kid" was living alone how many school teachers or counsellors would be investigating and reporting to the local children's protective services?  Given a year or 2 he could move out on his own supported by a claimed trust fund.

The SGC certainly would be doing something, perhaps with a condition of being paid back if O'Neill V2.0 does not enlist once out of school.  A 50+ year old Colonel with special ops experience would make a great recruit rejuvenated to 20 something and educated properly.

I'd love to see a new series (Star Force Command) with a 25 year old clone as a Lieutenant in the Space Forces commanding a scout ship after the basics of the Stargate have gone public and a new military branch organized.   Out scouting getting in and out of trouble with mostly only the audience knowing that O'Neill Jr is not the son of Sr but a copy.  With the education and the potential the Asgard detected in him as an advanced human he could do a combination of O'Neill and Carter for his ship.

if o'neill clone go in to the military i think he should be give the rank of colonel, since the original was a colonel at that time and he does have the knowledge of the original, making him a cadet would be stupid since he's got years of experience that most other ranking officer don't have.

The military could not have done that without saying who he was.  Then they would be under siege from people wanting to be cloned back to life once they were dead or to resurrect loved ones.  They have to maintain the fiction he is his apparent age at least publicly.

There have been many people that age who have been, I believe the term is 'emancipated', from their parents at that age and lived on their own. I agree that they could use a trust as his means of support until he comes of age. They could also just lie and say he is 16 so he could have his drivers license as well. In his situation, they could just have said he was a very young looking and small 18 year old and get away with it.

Yep I was one of those people. Was emancipated on my 16th birthday, and left home that day.

If you're after having a model of it made you should post in the modeling forum.

As I recall it was an energy based lifeform not an insect.

Whether the two creatures were the same or an example of convergent evolution is never revealed.

5- who are the furlings?

Never officially revealed.  We know the name and that in one episode where O'Neill makes a comment about them T'ealc smiles like he knows something.

However what brought me to resurrect this old thread was a thought on this topic.  The Furlings were one of the 4 great races. Ancients, Asgard, Nox and Furlings.  The Ancients and Asgard were known to have interfered on Earth and the Asgard at least opposed the Goa'uld.  There is another race known to have interfered on Earth and opposed the Goa'uld who could be the Furlings.  The aquatic race (Season 1 Episode 12 Fire and Water) they could be the Furlings they had the technology and were present in the right time.
