Rise of Nations and RoN:T&P...
« on: November 16, 2008, 07:51:56 pm »
After finally getting bored with AoE2, I bought the multigame pack.

I don't even bother trying to play this online since I'm still getting the hang of it difficulty wise, but I'm having a major issue with both games in single player. After a couple of "Conquer the World" campaigns on both games, future tech disappeared and has not reappeared. Is there a bug in the game or have I missed doing something ever since those first couple of times?

I can't say, never had that happen to me.  Are you running it on Vista or XP?

Rise of Legends is great brother. And yes there is a long patch that makes it even better. Granted It was hard to get going, but I think I still have my Email that shows how to do it.

The thing is, Microsoft with these games, don't have a go to site and download patch thing. If you want the patch you have to go through the game itself and get it.

Father Ted, I don't have the first one, but I'm wondering If it is not like the second. With it, I have to say target my worker, then there is various tabs showing the tech level I have trained. IS this what you are reffering to?

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you folks, but I got it to work in the origional RoN but keep hitting a brick wall on T&P, which sucks, because that's the one I'd prefer to play. And thanks to all of you for reminding me why I hate Microsoft, especially their tech support.

BTW Dash, I'm running it on XP. I worked in the computer department at Best Buy when they were beta testing Vista and the one guy in the department who I trust told me it sucks, and my uncle, a retired USAF major in their computer department said "sucks" is too kind a word for how truly bad it is.

I'm sorry I've been off and haven't replied either.  I'm puzzled.  Best resolution may be to save the saved files you have, uninstall and reinstall, and then put the save files in and see if that solves it.
