My First Attempt At Modelling On 3DS Max
« on: January 03, 2009, 12:48:38 am »
Having bough Autodesk, 3ds max 9, and eventually getting it to work on my vista, I' now trying to model my first ship! this could take a while but I'll post my updates here and let you all see how I'm getting on!

I've attached a preview of the Saucer so far :)

Before you proceed any further, I have to inform you that 3DS Max 9 cannot export to .mod files if you want to play your ship in SFC. Better migrate to gmax, which is free, as soon as you can.

im now moving aromd the program hapily experimenting with smoothing groups and whatnot. the image below is hardly impressive but its my first attempt and ill try improving it.
