Bedazzled
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

America-Not the land of the free anymore...
Its the land of the freeloaders

Remember the axiom of big government bureaucrats: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. When, finally, under the crushing weight of taxes and regulation, it stops moving, subsidize it.

Dungeons & Dragons MST3K-style

Not a pro movie but I still think worth a watch and a sight better than the original.

Hard to add much to the lists above, but I did find one.

The Good Shepard.  - The birth of the CIA, not 100% accurate, but pretty close, and very good.
"Your mighty GDI forces have been emasculated, and you yourself are a killer of children.  Now of course it's not true.  But the world only believes what the media tells them to believe.  And I tell the media what to believe, its really quite simple." - Kane (Joe Kucan) Command & Conquer Tiberium Dawn (1995)

Hoi Bonk,

Another soundtrack film:

Whale Music   Thumbs Up

Excellent music, heartbreaking/heartwarming story. Though wikipedia calls it a comedy. It is not. With Paul Gross of Due South fame.

The beast needs more torque!  Grin

The hit song from the soundtrack:
Claire
(or on CBC: http://radio3.cbc.ca/play/band/RHEOSTATICS/Claire/)

Another song from the soundtrack album:
Shaved Head

More from the Rheostatics, just because they rock:
The Rheostatics' Group Of Seven on CBC's The National

Try these, because the rest of the guys already hit "Strange Brew": ;)

1. 'Ronin' Great action flick that doesn't get the respect it deserves.
2. 'Father Ted'(if nothing else, get a copy of "Speed 3", it's hillarious)
3. 'Sergeant York'(it's already been recommended, but I'll second it), probably Gary Cooper's masterpiece next to "High Noon".
4. 'The Godfather I & II'. Part three never happened in a truly just universe.
5. 'Goodfellas'. Next to the above mentioned, it's the greatest mob movie ever.
6. 'Mr. Roberts'. The good Fonda(Henry), James Cagney, and Jack Lemmon. It's been tried on stage and Broadway, but nobody has ever come close to being as good as these guys were.
7. Just about anything with the Duke, but for this list, check out 'Red River'.
8. 'The Deer Hunter', probably DeNiro's best movie, but it's long and for most, very depressing.
9. 'Who's Life is it Anyway?' See #8 for quick synopsis, except its Richard Dreyfuss instead of DeNiro. This is one of those, "What the **** would I do if it was me in that condition?" Very powerful movie, but don't let anybody who's a manic depressive or has suicidal tendencies watch it.

'Speed 3' is probably the funniest Britcom episode to come out besides Monty Python or Red Dwarf. It's definitely the best Father Ted ep.

Going back to movies, has nobody listed 007 yet?

Best Bond: Tim Dalton
Best Bond flick: 'The Living Daylights'
Worst Bond flick: TIE: 'Moonraker'; the filmakers absolutely raped and pillaged Ian Fleming's original story, and 'Diamonds are Forever', which is definitely the most putrid thing that Sean Connery ever did for Her Majesty's Secret Service. I can't really decide which one was worse.
Most overrated Bond: Roger Moore(who beats out Pierce Brosnan by a nose)
Most underrated Bond: Dalton(George Lazenby comes in second)

But if you're in the mood for a little 007 that doesn't see all that much of those Spike Bondathons, get a hold of the above mentioned "The Living Daylights", "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"(which is very, very underrated), and "License to Kill".

Avoid Sextette.  Don't ask, just avoid it.  You have been warned.

Will Do Nem.

Man I own Bubba Hotep. Best movie that Bruce has done in a long time.

Tell ya something funny, I grabbed Adam-12 , somehow it got in my que, and IT came yesterday. I never laughed so hard at a series in forever. From finding a stolen car, with a boa in the trunk, to the kid who would be Ferangi getting his head stuck in a fence.

Stephen

There is a story to my seeing it though.

A group of us got together and it was decided to have a "movie night" one of the guys made 2 mistakes.  The first was to insist that I and another guy (Mark) not be allowed to choose any movies because we have "bad taste" in movies.  The truth is MARK likes bad movies and because of that I have seen way too many atrocious films.  The 2nd mistake was when he couldn't find anything that he wanted to watch he fell into my trap.  I offered to point out a movie that matched the specifications he gave.  He specified a "classic" with famous people he recognized.  So I merely used the fact that my friends trust me to be truthful and pointed out Sextette.   I was in fact truthful as the movie has many famous people in it and it is a cult classic.

He has never lived down choosing that movie to watch.  :)

He really shouldn't have insulted me and then expected helpful advice on the very same topic.  He should also have specified the type of classic.  :)

Mystery men, Disturbia, Rush hours 1-3 (because Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are awesome together), and Bicentennial Man.
