Hello everyone, been a while. I've not been entirely idle in my absence, this is the first of my WIP's to reach fruition. As the title states, it's Capt. KoraH's take on the Taldren RDD. I've cut in some of Atra-Hasis' and Ganymad's textures then painted some areas myself. I've been able to improve my techniques over time and I'm more happy with my contributions this time than in the past. I'm in the process of getting release permissions and will post a d/l link here as soon as that's accomplished. If anyone's in touch with Ganymad please let him know about this ship, I haven't found a means of contact yet.

Nice! An excellent upgrade to an already fine ship. It is so COOL to see more non-Federation ships again.

hey northern star, I have a legion class from KF that is virtually the same, however it has some glaring issues like on the neck and head, but at the same time does a couple things better than you have on this. Would you like the version? Combine the good points between the 2 ships and it will be great. Do you have msn?

well, you can see the detailing on the fwd bulkhead around the weapons. I can't remember which is yours and the other offhand, but one has an open green tube look, the other has a closed one but a design around it. Go with like the green and the design around the tube at the same time, for instance....The rear bulkhead on the one I sent has a romulan patch plus dual impulse, and the dorsal area on the one I sent has more detailing too. The bad on the one I sent that you have solved on yours is all the blank space on the head and neck.

A progress report; As you can see in the picture, the weapon texture with green glow has been added as well as the "dual" impulse exhaust ports and Imperial crest on hangar door have been accomplished. I've added the appearance of shadow around the door. I've downloaded gmax and the SFC plugin and imported the model and messed around with a couple of tutorials about applying textures. I think what I need to figure out is how to break the parts of a model apart first - then apply new textures. At this point if I add texture to the areas on the "head", they appear on the back of the wings as well.

Does anyone know of a decent tutorial or two?
