Finally!

Two new tools from MS:

Desktops v1.0 - Been waiting for ages for this one, it has some interesting applications in multithreading as well, due to its design. (Which is also its limitation in comparison to similar features in KDE or Gnome.)

Process Monitor v2.0 - This may prove useful in development and diagnosis of issues in SFC multiplayer as it provides "real time" udp monitoring, previously unavailable in native windows tools.

 8)

Unfortunately, I do not currently have a PC I can evaluate either on, but soon I will have my connection and systems back up and running, soon... ;)

The first is cool though there was/is a simular tool already out there for XPpro only.

The second is just a repackaging of some old tools that've been knocking around for time now...of course, the new UI is nice.  :)

The first time I directed someone to the "Powertoys" links they were reluctant to go to it.  They thought it was "something else".

I also have something called TCP view which is interesting to see what all it going in and out over the 'net.
Only in America .....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

TCPview tells you only part of the story.
Want to know in detail?
Get Wireshark and run a track on it for like 30 seconds. It'll give you about 400KB worth of text in that time depending on exactly what your doing on the internet when you run it :D
