Hi
« on: October 28, 2008, 12:05:19 pm »
Hi, I'm a long-time SFC3 player, just getting into SFC2-OP.

I'm playing the stock game in single player right now, just trying to get the hang of it.

Can people please post links to useful strategy guides, etc.
Also, can you guys recommend some mods. What patches should I get, etc?

Thx.

For patches, here is the main update that does it all.

Welcome,

For tactics, the KKtacman is very helpful (http://www2.hawaii.edu/~craiga/kktacman.html), even though it's written based on SFC1. It can be dense but there are good descriptions for the races near the end.

There are also a lot of good tactics guides on DVnet's Xenocorp site (http://xenocorp.net/Fleets_Guilds/Starfleet_Command/tactical_treatise_pages.htm)

I think this is one of the clearest and most helpful descriptions of Plasma Ballet tactics:

Okay, I've got the basics down (I think).
Are there weapon charts around anywhere?
You know, with range, % chance to hit, damage, recycle rate, power draw, etc?
Also, I bought a copy of the game off of ebay with no manual.
I'm not sure about the legality of this, but is there a copy of the manual around anywhere?
Thanks again.

Check on your game disk....some disks had the manual as a PDF file...
