Wow - Nice work atolm.
I would have never of thought to put that shape on the main hull.

I adore the lineup of classic Romulan ships that have sprung up lately :)

A point of criticism would be the use of yellow on the trailing edges since that yellow pattern has been established for Mirror universe Imperial craft. Still, the design and application of the details is excellent.

If I ever get back into SFC, I'll be sure to add this into the Romulan fleet.

Hmmmm, looks very good WZ, but I think the front of the hull looks a bit bare.

I'm sure you can make an educated guess on that  8)

Blue is generally associated with the Feds but that hasn't stopped Romulan ships from having a blue bird on the hull. Yellow may be the main color for the Terrans but that doesn't mean it's exclusively for them.

You could say the same thing about the canon BoP also. They were never big on details...

TNG? not in the slightest. TNG romulans have a completely different design Ethos. Sure this is a departure from typical TOS, but its TOS. Perhaps its Late TOS/Early TMP (like the bonhomme richard or whatever).

I pegged it for the 2284/5-ish era. Shape of the nacelles, vent? details near them, color of the plating, yadda yadda.

Doesn't really matter what time period it goes into as it will work in the game for anyship I chose to replace it with

I like it!

You could probably revse the engines and fin direction and get another ship out her with a little remapping

The general rule is that TNG Romulans are green and look too much like real birds to require having one painted on the belly.

That aside, I'll save everyone the difficulty of comparative design analysis and say it's clearly a TOS ship, or early TMP era at the latest.

Take off the weapons and bird, and it would make a good civilian liner/transport.  There are a dearth of non-military ships for the other races.  I have played convoy raids on the Federation with the entire fleet being composed of different ships with no repetitions.  It would be neat to see more civilian ships for everyone else.
