Do you mean general multiplayer like Gamespy or IP connecting, and Orion Pirates?

Your files will not be altered. However, to play with others on Gamespy, you must be using Firesoul's OP+ 4.0 shiplist. It has to be installed over another mod (preferably from a clean OP installation), so in a sense it does interfere with your mods/shiplists: the ship and fighter lists have to be the same as the people you fly with. That's the only thing, though. Models, graphics, and sounds are left alone in multiplayer.

install mod chooser.  Then you can swap back and forth with no problem (mainly for gamespy you just have to change the fighter and ship lists)

arrrggg, i will have to do it each time i wanna play on gamespy?

maybe its time we have a server that will not interfere with the mod and shiplist.

hee, maybe i should try to play again someone directly or is they're another way?

well, each time you play against someone else, gamespy, d2, directlink you have to have the same fighter and shiplist on your machines.  So you only have to change it when you change who you are playing against (if they use different ones)

If you have a custom ship and fighter list you like to use then yes you will have to change each time you play your list and when you link with someone else.  I just leave mine the same and play on D2 most of the time, once in awhile I move over to gamespy and it is the same ship and fighter list unless I was on the hardcore server on D2.

Mod chooser is a good friend to make it painless to change where you want to be.

well, you don't have to change your shiplist, but all the wooses start complaining when I bring out the frigate that has 100 engine power, and is armed with phaser-4s. ;)
