MSVC++ question for those who might know
« on: August 30, 2008, 11:42:05 am »
  I am looking at picking this up, and found a copy that is fair priced.  The box has japanese on the outside (along with some english also).  Would this be compatable or did they make changes for a version that might have been destined to Japan.

  Normally MS products lets you pick your language so that shouldn't be a problem (IIRC).  Thanks.

Are you talking about VC++6.0?

It's been a while since I've fooled around with it, but I think you should not have any issues running it on Vista.

Pesty, do you know?

xp, I still xp.  just wondering if it being a possible japanese version would make a difference in using it for scripting.  (not sure what if any changes MS might make to it, just wondering before plopping down cash for a version that might not work right for me).

I never saw a 'language selection' dialog box when I installed my copy.

hmm, that could suck.  I don't read Japanese to well.

hopefully it is designed to use your system set language
