I have aquired permissions for this conversion

Anyone want to do the sfc side of it?

the only requirements is to put his name in the readme for model and textures, his email and ICQ because he must be contacted for permission to use (and such must be stated) and no modifications allowed.

I have the 3ds.

I remember once reading a quote or something from Matt Jeffries, the original designer of the Enterprise.

When placing the high-power warp nacelles that powered the enterprise, he put them on struts so they'd be far away from the crew habitation spaces. In case anything went wrong with these (comparatively) massive engines, the crew won't be in danger.

This is a fine example of how far TNG has gotten away from the original vision of starships in the golden age of trek.

While I like the overall design of the ship, the nacelles seem to be a little on the blocky side if you ask me.  They just don't seem to fit with the rest of the ship, which has smooth and graceful lines. They are so blocky that they look amateurish and tacked on as an afterthought. Wonder why the modeller didn't use Intrepid or Galaxy style nacelles with this ship?
