Cool Atolm design (as always). Great execution. It does beg for a higher poly version, but for game resolutions this is great.

I have thought about it.  what technique works the best in this regard?  i was thinking that you would extrude the relevent edges and then decrease there size somewhat to effect the chamfer.

altom: two questions for you...1.  did you have a name in mine for this lady; 2.  are your designs posted up somewhere.  i used to have a link to site but they don't seem to be there any longer.

now for the texturing...grrrr...maybe raven should make us a texturing tutorial and teach us all some of his skills.   ;)

well you could select all the pertant edges you want to chamfer and do it that way.  If your mesh is all quads it is actually very clean

I'll port her into SFC -- with pleasure! If you have suggested specs just send them with her and I'll attempt to make the HP/DPs match as close as possible. My email is in my profile.

She is awesome PM - thanks for sharing!

Shadowfleet,

Thanks for the offer to port her to SFC.  Do you want me to sent the milkshape file and bmp files or would you prefer that I export it out in some other format.

I'm honored PM. I wish I could model instead of just kitbashing and porting. You have great talent.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd prefer 3ds with bmp textures. I use Max 4.2 to do the kitbashes I've posted. I'm going to have surgery tomorrow but should be back home by Tuesday. If all goes well - I can port her, beta test in a SFC3 skirmish, and email her back to you or upload direct to Battleclinic by the the end of the week. Just let me know what you prefer and send a copy of the readme you'd like included if you want me to upload it.

Shadowfleet, I started out kitbashing...lol and I am still learning.  I actually tried to make this beastie several times and never could get it right.

I will send you the files sometime on Monday.  After you get her HP'd and tested go ahead and submit it to Battleclinic.  Ill include a shell readme which you can amend with your particulars.

Re-export and sent.  Oh by the way, I generated this one up for the Legacy guys to show weapons placement...maybe it will help.

=============================================
Romulan ships are arguably the most beautiful ships in the known galaxy and the Ael' hlaiim Class Warbird is no exception. This multi-mission orientated vessel is quite capable to deal with situations that would normally require many vessels to complete. As such, she stands ready to serve the Imperium.

Looks great...makes me wish I had SFC.

Thanks Shadowfleet and I would like to thank Atolm for his wonderful design work and Achilles for the inspiration to complete this one.

Now where are those printouts...need to figure out what my next project will be...seems like there was another one from this series that I started but mever completed.  lol

Thanks FW. This was my first attempt at original illumination maps. Any help/hints are appreciated.

Special Thanks to Pepperman for making her a reality and to Atolm for imagining her.

PM - how about this little baby. She's one of my all time favorite Atolm designs. I think she'd look great with the other Ael'series designs. I'd be honored to convert her for you. I'll be laid up for another three weeks and have instant time available at your beckoning.

Been out for a bit... came back- just like before Pepperman- when I saw this I did five minutes of Quagmire-isms... Wwwhhooaa...wwhhoooaaa.giggity! Giggity!

That one you're working on is quite fine, love it....

but I agree with Shadowfleet, I always like the design he (re)posted too; remember when Atolm drew that up a few years ago, love it ever since...

Thanks for the magnificent work Pep in bringing another needed exotic beauty to life; we owe you.
