1. Does anyone know which star trek game this video comes from and where you can download the mod? Queen Anne's Revenge vs. Starfleet Command

2. Does anyone know if star trek starfleet command orion pirates expansion has all the content from star trek starfleet command 2 empires at war or do I have to buy empires at war as well? I Know op is a stand alone expansion just wondering if its all new content or all from empires of war as well?

3. Which has better mods star trek starfleet command 2 or 3?

4. I am thinking on buying star trek legacy for the pc again. I bought it when it first came out but hated th controls and the way the ships were. Now that its been out for a while and they are more patches and mods, is there a fix now for controls and better graphics and things to make the game better and easier to play?

1.  It is SFC2, whether its EAW, or OP.  It's hard to tell.  Likely its OP.

2.  OP has all the content from EAW, the only thing its missing is the single player campaign, which is available for download here.

3.  That one is up for debate.

4.  The controls were hard coded and I don't believe there was any patch to fix the controls, or to allow for remapping.

1. It looks like the video is from either SFC2: Empires at War or SFC2: Orion Pirates.

2. Orion Pirates has basically everything from EAW, except the special campaign missions. You can download those for OP, though. Many more people play OP online nowadays, probably just because it was easier to mod. I would recommend Orion Pirates.

Ahh Lt. Q beat me to it! Good luck anyways.

1.) That looks to be SFC OP.  Could be SFC2.  Can't really tell, but I'm betting it's OP.  What mod it is and where it is, I have no idea.  More than likely the ships were just added to the install manually by the person who made the vid.  Those Connies however look like WZ's Connies.

2.) The only thing OP doesn't have are the storyline missions from EAW.  Other than that, OP has everything EAW has and more.  This includes races and weapons.

3.) Depends on who you ask.  There's currently a hardcore testing server out right now for OP which is fairly good.  Same old shiplist that's been used for years, but the missions help spice things up a bit.  There are some good mods for SFC3, however not much is going on these days when it comes to the D3.  The GFL have released Legions At War 5, a Dynaverse 3 campaign.  Check it out.

If you're asking for ships though, there is an abundance of ships for SFC, all versions.  All versions use the same format.  SFC1 doesn't use lightmaps, and SFC2/OP and SFC3 have different hardpointing systems, but those are minor issues and ships can be ported to any version of SFC.

4.) Legacy, graphics wise, is a great game.  Other than that, it still doesn't have much else.  The major mods, such UU and TLG, do help the game quite a bit, and there are scripters for Legacy that continuously work to improve the game.  However, only one official patch was ever really released, and then support for the game from the developers pretty much ceased.

P.S.

Got a closer look at that Queen Anne model.  That's WZ's Lethality, just slightly retextured.  Most likely for personal use, which is perfectly fine.  But chances are you are not going to find it for download.

Everyone says op includes everything that empires of war has except single player missions. Does op include the same ships and things for skirmishes that were in empires of war? Also if the controls are no different since when the game first came out should I forgot about legacy?

OP has the same ships and I believe the same skirmishes as EAW.  I know OP has even more races, which means more ships.

If you have a good gamepad or joystick, especially one made in the past couple years or so, you can use the program that comes with the device to fly ships in Legacy.

Most people use the wireless XBOX 360 controller for the PC to fly Legacy.

In the end, it's up to you.  If you want to play Legacy, just make sure your system can run it.  Other than that, it's purely choice.

Same goes for any game you play.

1.I cant decide between sfc empires at war or OP.
2.The thing when I first got star trek legacy when first came out that I didnt like also was the fact the ships would blow up to fast and the damage wasnt that good. Do the mods fix all that
3.I noticed some peoples videos on youtube of legacy had a ton of ships on screen at once I thought you can only have like 4 ships on each side or something?

1) Get Orion Pirates.. it is EAW.. more specifically, it is EAW expanded to include 8 additional Pirate races. Now if you are concerned about the missing Single Player campaigns, they are available for Orion Pirates via download.. and very easy to get.

2) From all reviews I have seen, I will not touch or even comment on Legacy.. Reports and reviews about the game are not favorable.. and that is coming from a relatively NEW game.. however Orion Pirates has had 8 years of replay ability for testimony about how the game is.. Orion Pirates strength is no in its single player campaign. but in Instant Action on Gamespy Arcade, or the Dynaverse when a major campaign takes off.

3) I don't know.. haven't tried it, and won't touch it.. Console game to PC usually sucks.. PC only games are usually much more intense.. I don't even own a console and never will.. I use console emulators on my PC and I get the game ROMS for free.. why waste money on a $500 Console system that will be out dated in 3 years, when my PC can upgrade over the next 8 to 10 years (and upgrades are usually under $100).. which is the better buy? Anyhow, Legacy.. just from game reviews I won't touch it.

OP.  While the dynaverse in SFC3 is more refined, the gameplay is seriously dumbed down.  I'm not sure whether that's because the game was rushed, or because activision forced Taldren to make the game conform more closely to cannon.

Depends on your point of view.  Both games have their advantages and disadvantages.

toss up, depends on what you like.  If you have played SFB and like the rules then OP is the one for you, if you havn't or don't care either way for the rules, either may work, and if you dislike the SFB rules then sfc3 is the one for you.

I like Orion Pirates, but haven't tried SFC3 yet so I can't comment on how it is. However, you probably would have an easier time getting OP - on Amazon.com it's currently $12, whereas SFC3 is $60 (!). Apparently, SFC3 was recalled after it was released, and is rare.

I suggest getting Orion Pirates...even if you don't like it, it's much less of a risk for the cost.

Yes, it works fine on XP.   However you can't play on the dynaverse if you use vista.
