(R3M.203) CV5 FAST DREADNOUGHT CARRIER (CV5) Some Admirals in the Klingon Fleet cast an envious eye on the Federation's Light Dreadnought Carrier (the Star Tiger) and pushed to have such a ship of their own. In Y176 they were able to convince the High Command and a C5 then under construction was modified and completed the following year. Although not supplied with an escort group the Klingon did provide for one (AD5 and 2xF5E) should the ship ever be used in a non-raiding role
  F&E FACTS: For those players wishing to add this ship to their F&E games the following would apply.
Counter Factors are 11(6)/6(3). Command rating 9. Can be converted in Y177 from a C5 for 2 +16 EP. Counters for both the CV5 and 4CV5 are provided.

A Klink counterpart to the F-DVL . . .   This is going in for play-testing.

Depends on the mod.   For Standard D2 play yes, 2 squads of 4.   For the "F&E" campaign I'm thinking of SFB fighter loadouts.  What's cool is the "Standard" D2 play can be the Taldren 2/3 Model while the Fleet actions can use SFB loadouts with the same client-side shiplist.

The concept of the Combat Carrier is kinda cool but Expensive in the F&E Production model.   The 13+18 EP for the ship will almost buy you and X-Squad (actually, it will by a DX and 2 FX).  The C5VK will come out in 2274, one year after the F-DVL as a response to it and will be much more useful for it's time period.

face it..the CV5 wont get flown...it's a tub...a scow....a scow with 8 fighters..big whoop...

You wanna see something flown....add a D7VA...nerf it if you want...but add it...

The D7VA is also there...and it will kick a D7U's a$$...

I agree with you about the smaller ships. The Klink DN's seem like a step backward, compared to the D5/C7 and even the D7 series, with Lyran disruptor arcs and even worse phaser arcs.

i tried to reply last night but the forums were freaking out.   This one you could sell me on, on paper it doesn't look any worse than the F-CVF.  it's going in the list.
