J'inn, we must be neck to neck on this. I'm a pretty lousy pilot myself. I spend most of my time running away like a frightened woma.... nevermind.

Anyway, I feel your pain man. We just don't got it, ya know?

Funny story And I hear your pain - I hate it when I don't press Enter and type frantically away.

How about this:

Move around at a decent speed allowing your defenses time to fully charge and take effect.

Start to, jokingly, trash talk your opponent.

Press enter and retype trash talk.

Once your defenses are at full effect, turn into your opponent setting him up for the coup-de-grace, Alpha Strike. Get in nice and close waiting for your tractor to engage so he can't spit out a WW.

You get real close, no tractor.

No worries, you can still alpha, but only your phasers fire.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVASIVE MANUEVERS ARE STILL ON?!?!?

There goes your Alpha, and now your opponent has turned on your butt while you were frantically turning off those damn manuevers.

RUN AWAY!!!!!

Do I pass oh "Master of the D-OH!" Manuever?

Now if only he had set his weapons to disable as well... and just for good measure, diverted uneccesary power to sensors. That way, at least, he would know exactly which hardpoints were responsible for what follows...

Ok.... of course this is on the d3.....sorry.... but, my problem is when I go into a nebula hex. I get so entranced by the "pretty lights" that I forget to engage my cloak. I start flying around just looking at the view.

In the d2, I do like to rearrange my view screen by typing without hitting the ENTER key. In order to get it back to the way it is suppose to be, I have to retype everything back in without hitting the ENTER key. By that time, I have forgotten everything I was going to say and I'm viewing the rest of the battle with the aid of the T key.

Try forgetting to press red alert until 2 minutes into the mission and wonder why nothing fires.  Then press red alert and watch ur speed die off as the plazma/fighters/PF's close for the kill.  Then bang fist on keyboard lamenting how stupid u just were.  THEN...
Have a five year old walk up to you and say " Daddy its only a game, its pretend, dont get mad ".

Then You truely understand the depths of pathetic SUCKINESS that you have acheived.

Best remedy,
Go for a smoke and a beer, tell your kid that they are right.
