Problem Viewing Certain Pages in Firefox
« on: August 01, 2008, 08:26:10 am »
I generally use Firefox to surf the web and it's been a good browser.  Yesterday I went to YouTube and the pages there are showing up in some kind of weird, stripped down format.  Everything is jumbled around and stretched out.  Normally I have no problems using Firefox there.  When I tried viewing YouTube in Explorer it works just fine.  The same goes for the Cracked.com website.  If anyone has a pointer on how to fix this I'd love to hear it.  I'd hate to have to uninstall and reinstall it because I would lose all my lovely bookmarks.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that javascript is 'off' be default in FF. Check your settings.

Actually I sort of stumbled on the solution.  I went to the Tools menu and did something called "clearing the cache" and "clearing cookies" and Hey Presto! everything was as it should be.

Big thumbs up for the pointer, Toasty0.  I appreciate it tons.
