Campaigns, fun, &all that

after reading all the posts during the aotk4 campaign, all the dissent,
bickering, bad feelings, ect,ect... why bother having campaigns at all... if its such a headache
for everyone, why be subject to that when real life gives enuff problems without a game adding to it...
reading the posts of who did what, who is offended, who broke this rule, we need this rule...
cheese & rice, its a ^&*^*( # game!!!   its supposed to let us escape the trauma & tension of real life, not add to it!!
As the dynaverse tag line says... " Its all about the game" and the game is what we make of it....
with all the pissing & moaning  & complaining about he has this, and he has that, and he did this, and she did that, blah.., blah.., blah...  in a real war,
does the side with weaker resources get to call "foul, you cant do that!!!  ".. or
"we need to make an engagement rule"... or whatever else ??  ...  you fight with what you have, if you lose, your loss... get something bigger to come back with at
your enemy, and if you lose again, guess your enemy is a lot better than you... face it, practice & improve and try again.
This is an incredible game that enables people to globally play with or against each other,converse, form teams, gangs, raiders,ect,ect..
even a man & crew that has donated  time and resources to make it a non- profit organization so its available to ALL to enjoy  ( All Hail Frey & Co. for this generous act !!! )
I try to keep servers up on OP, EAW, And SFC3 so theres always something for someone to enjoy, whether its once a day, week, month, or whatever, for that reason... for All to enjoy..... and to quote Xenocorp...

the first line states "we will have fun"....  seems we need less rules & feuds and more fun, dontcha think ??

i know all is well in the universe that is dyna...when i see your server...up and running...

though ive not played on it before...now that the installer is available again...id been looking for 3 days...i will give it a go...

Well, there was a bit of bickering, but that was over a new rule that was being tried out.  It basicly ruled as an error.  I actually think it could work but has to be written alittle different.  But if I never see it again I will not be sad.

But that said, the campaign was fun.

You know if it wasn't for the campaigns and the bickering, who would talk to each other?  ;)

If it wasn't for some of the dissent it would be a very boring game. Peeps get all stressed out doing work-ups for a campaign, gain enemies, badmouth peeps, even threaten some- but thats war.

When it's all over and we can go back to our R/L's mostly we forget or forgive what or who made us mad, and look forward to doing it again.

...at least I do.

ATOK4 was a great server..most part even numbers...and very little bickering compared to most servers Ive played them all since 1999.I did get to play for both teams on this server and was treated with respect from both sides.The honour from both sides to play by the rules amazed me,compared to other servers.Also we had some newbies show up and both teams helped them in anyway they could,very Kewl server guys.
