The oil problem / grain solution
« on: June 24, 2008, 10:57:09 pm »
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.
Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled filet of camel @ss!!!
DAMNIT we just might start to sell grain at that rate to them :flame: Hay was 6.50 a bale last year its 9.00 a bale now.
Farmers need to join forces with those over seas sales !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The flooding in the upper plains will do that for us.  Many farmers in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois are reporting 80%+ losses.

Wow, where are you.  Hay is going for $6 a bale right now and that's pretty high.  Everyone is making hay this year, even people with several acres in their front yards.  lol

I am wondering how refiners will meet the mandatory ethanol mix requirements this year.
