It's up running flatfile, we'll try to convert to an SQL database later on if this is at all possible.

Nope, something big is broken.  No servers are showing in the Campaign selector.

Thanks for your efforts, DH.  Looks to be in the hands of the hardware admins at this point.

We have to wait for DH to get it back up on his machine, and he will be afk for another couple hours (when I last heard from him on TS) as Frey has stated THOR is down, needing time and money to fix
XenoCorp donation thread here, BTW:

I'm sure DH will post when he returns and get the server back up...Pilots may stand at ease on standby.

If need be, I can put it up flatfile on my end temporarily.. at least until DH gets back online.. I can play and run the server on my system at the same time.. however I rather have full resources for playing.. I took Hardcore down for the duration of ATOK 4 server.. this way, all I have to do is shoot DH the saves from the server kit when he is ready to run it on his end..

Diehard, if you can zip up the server kit, hop on Windows Messenger and transfer me the kit, I will host it until you can take over.

Messenger email contact addy..

Are the OP directory servers working?  It is our impression that they are not.

As to DH being able to host the server, I believe that he is having a problem with receiving any traffic external to his own network, i.e. no one can access things on his web server and no one could see the dynaverse server when he tried to host it on his own server, so the problem is systemic.  He believes that it could be his ISP blocking certain ports or traffic.  So I don't think having DH host ATOK4 is an option at this point unless he can figure out what the problem is on his end.  Unless there was some other development since the last time I checked this is the state of affairs as I know it to be.

I encountered a blank campaign selector 3 times earlier in the day. Hopefully things are stable tomorrow. RL beckons for now.

There were no other servers up, Pesty put his hardcore server back up just to kick around on while we wait.

DH, I thought you were going to run it on your Box if THOR proved to be too much of a pain when we talked about this on Teamspeak?

I'm just going to replace this server with a new one, it's too much of a hassel. I'll begin the process of locating a suitable replacement ASAP.

Regards,

P.S. Krueg, you really need to talk to the Campaign admin, and not us here in regards to third party Campaigns being run. Not trying to be anything but realistic, as we can't do squat if THOR isn't acting right and DH doesn't have any other hardware to run the campaign on, unless we need to host it on, say, FREYJA temporarily (it's a quad core)... but DH needs to say something to me about that.

He was having some issue with anyone being able to see it under the campaign selector screen I believe...
He said he would look at it when he got back, which the time stated has long past, so not sure what's going on with that.

Sorry, was only going by what DH said on TS, that it was some issue with Thor, I had no idea it wasn't running right and DH did not tell me he had spoken to you earlier. Knowing DH being gone for a few hours, I was hoping it was something that someone with admin access to Thor could fix so the server wouldn't just be down for hours.
I really had the best intentions and wasn't trying to bypass anyone. Only after I had talked to Stoney and Pesty did I learn a little more and then I realized we'd have to wait regardless.
Sorry if I was a PITA, but I was unaware of any prior arrangements.

Weird stuff was going on yesterday with nothing showing in the campaign selector regardless of the hardware the server was run on.  I don't think THOR had anything to do with this issue.  I'm not sure if that has anything at all to do with Dnet's infrastructure at all or if the "internet" itself was just flaking out.  It was running Okay on Thor for about an hour then we started getting some random crashes do to memory errors.  I moved it to my hardware, but I was the only person who could see the server in the campaign selector (I could not see any other campaigns).   I thought it might have been mu ISP flaking out because I know a lot of people cannot see my webserver anymore so we moved it back to THOR.   Once back on THOR, nobody (3 or 4 of us) could see it despite us being able to sign in passes the GSA login.   I had no clue WTF was going on and had to go out for the evening.

i used the beta version of the download for this.   THIS caused a game problem.  I could no longer type, nor could I enter my GSA info, nor could the BPV of a hosted game show.
I uninstalled the Beta, only to find the game crashed constantly upon reloading.  I truly hope all problems are fixed SOON.
