And to top it all off, the only thing I retired from was sanity.  Then again some say I was never sane to begin with.

I'll say it, I don't think you were sane to begin with, but sanity has never been high on my list either.

A sane person realizes how bad off the world is, and realizes they can do nothing about it.
A insane person is happy in the world they created, and doesn't care what other think about his space.

Which option actually sounds more sane?
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

America-Not the land of the free anymore...
Its the land of the freeloaders

Remember the axiom of big government bureaucrats: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. When, finally, under the crushing weight of taxes and regulation, it stops moving, subsidize it.

With me, I realize how screwed up the world is, realize there's really nothing I can do about it, yet dream of finding a way to bring about the end of time and raise some hell, all while doing some funny and crazy things, and enjoying myself while doing it.

What does that make me?

You could also put some different pieces of models together to make your own model.

It's insane to be sane in an insane world. ;D

As you heard God's message from afar;
All you had hoped for, all you had, you gave
To save mankind-yourself you scorned to save."

You retire, I'll kick your @$$ from one side of the galaxy to the other and you won't knowe what hit you. >:(

Just don't hurt him so much he can't model anymore!!!  ;D

Seriously, when life gets you down you need downtime (I take weeks to months).

It's different when you feel you've lost enjoyment, or that you're not progressing. That's your call though.

I just don't want the multiple communities your a part of to lose a talent like you.

example:

Plus then I couldn't do horrible things to your creations...
(Note this is so horrible I hesitate to show this pic...)

Now would you really want to deprive me of my horrible abominations against polygons???
INSANITY I SAY!

Seriously, go recharge your batteries and then check out some tutorials like WZ mentioned.
question, can you utilize detail boxes? I believe it's part of a LOD system...

Regardless of what anyone else says, if you can see something in your works that speaks to you then it's all worth it. As for me, the majority (80%) of them speak to me.... For someone like ATOLM, well frankly 50% of his stuff I love and 50% just fraking scares me...  :o

Just kidding Azel...

I concure, but that second model is good, at least compared to mine. I suck at 3D modeling, unless I've got a plastic, build it yourself model, I'm helpless.

Guys check your readmes that white pointy ship is Unknown Warriors Hydran not mine. Please credit the right poeple. There are 2 modelers at Cloak @ Dagger studios   .
Whats detail boxes ? i never heard of them.   I going to read up on some tutorials and see if i cant make an improvement in textures. I havent built a Trek ship in over 2 years , i wana take a crak at a concept 1701 and see if i can make it worthy. We will see i guess.

That was directed at me, all the DE mods are in a "Kreeargh Folder" as I hadn't sorted them out yet and got struck by an idea...
A simple look at the included read me would have saved me some embarrassment (no offense UW! So don't you retire either!!!)

But how many posts does it take to move up? I was a little confused because there are some people who have a lot of posts, but are still an engsin.

I think you move on from ensign after I think a thousand posts.  Or is it 500?

I like the concept bud. 8) Let's see how she takes shape...and don't worry about the textures...I always figure mine are just place holders until someone reodoes them, lol. Look at my Remora...13-14 redo's IIRC, lol.

Someone should make a Covenant carrier from Halo, that would be very nice to see that on this site. Hey, wait a second, why not make a mod for Starfleet Commmand for the Halo universe? That would be awesome if they could make one.
