Possible aquisition
« on: May 17, 2008, 01:29:58 pm »
Is it possible to have a F-DN created by special order in the USA?

Your guess is as good as mine.  But I have no guess, so your guess is better than mine.

I think he's asking if there's anyone willing to accept a request for a custom SFC model. As in he wants someone to make him a custom F-DN.

It depends on what you want and how much you want to pay for it.
You could ask me and possably get a crappy looking textured ship that no one wants to play with or you could ask guys like WZ and get a nice model to play with . Or you could get the guys at staryards to make you one spot on at a $cost.  Special order depends on quality and avalibility of somewanting to do it  ;D

You can actually hire Staryards to make models? I didn't know that...Has anyone ever done it?

A few have had ships made yes, but I don't think they are doing it anymore.
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

Remember the axiom of big government bureaucrats: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. When, finally, under the crushing weight of taxes and regulation, it stops moving, subsidize it.

The DN I want is avaliable in Starfleet Command 2 and the Orion Pirates vesion of Starfleet command 2. I also have no idea on how to post a picture of the ship AND I want the ship in Federation markings.

You lost me i guess if the ship is already ported to SFC2/op then this must be a texture edit request? New regs or something.

No, I just want a F-DN with standard Starfleet markings, that's all. But I live in MossyHead,it's hard to find models like that anywhere here.

I'm gonna pull up a chair and sit a spell because this thread has the makings of good comedy.  :)

Let's chat a bit Akira. You would like a Federation DN with Starfleet markings custom made as a model for SFC yeah?
Not a physical model but a virtual one yes?
And you say it's already "available in Starfleet Command 2 and the Orion Pirates version of Starfleet command 2" so you're wanting a higher quality version of a stock model?

If those three answers are yes then click here Battleclinic.com - Community Docks and do a search for F-DN or FDN or Federation Dreadnought as just about every stock model has been redone about a thousand times and they just keep getting more impressive.

Otherwise name the specific model in SFC and describe what you'd like done.

What I have got so far is he wants a F-DN for SFC 3.  I haven't loaded up SFC3 in years so not sure what is available in that one.

*reads the quote in Vipre's signature*  I've never heard of humanity described as a freakshow.  But you know what, it's the most accurate description I've heard of to date.

When I was 12 or so, I used to make Lego Star Trek movies, with stop-action animation. They were *really* corny, but so fun to make ;). I think I made a little Fed DN model in one movie, and it got blown up. You could make a model out of Legos, if you want a physical model.

I saw the show.  It stunk worse than Ben Affleck's screen tests.  Not even the cheap landscapers wanted the fertilizer made out of those clones.
