I have two close to brand new refrigerators, One is to big for the area where the water hook up is, the other one, the sylenoid, (as far as I can tell) has blown. I saw where lowes has ice maker kits for around 60-70 bucks, and I have an old old old Fridge out in the dog trailer that works like a charm.
How difficult is it to mount an over the top kit on an existing unit? If It's not that hard, I'll move the one with the broken ice maker into a storage room inside here, and use it for juices, etc. Leaving the slot for the one with the ice maker kit.
