Is the Forge down?

Just wondering if the Forge is down or not?  I'm not seeing it on the server list...

I think Thor is pooched. Might as well do something else  because I don't expect to see it back up anytime soon.

The Forge will be back up.. This is Mothers Day.. things will take a little time.. SFHQ is the one who has access to The Forge.. He was out yesterday.

I am going to try to get a hold of him or Frey so that I can have access of it and restart it or bump it when necessary, and to clean the DB when needed.

Just hang in there. BTW, there is nothing wrong with Thor.

Bonk is away on personal business and may be gone for a bit.. but he will return. I am always on here watching out for everyone, but I don't have access to The Forge. I am trying to get a hold of Frey so I can get access. SFHQ has access to Thor, but it is Mother's Day weekend and it may not be easy to get a hold of him to get the server back up.

The Forge will return, just bear with us. Things take a bit longer on hollidays.

Actually, I took it down to work on it since it is having issues.  I need to sort a couple things out with it to resolve the instability that people have been experiencing.

Well, since most of what I have seen is. "is it down, what is up" kind of posts.

I would like to thank all you guys for working hard at keeping these servers up and running as much as they have been.

It's not that we don't appreciate all the time and effort the Dnet peeps put into this stuff, we all do. It's just that when a server that is up pretty much 24/7 goes down we naturally wonder what is up. I guess maybe we are spoiled by their proficiency, so I to will say THANKS MAN!!!

Woke up because of heartburn (Too much steak) so I threw the Forge back up after some tweaks to Thor's services.  Let me know if it crashes again so I can keep tweaking.

I think it has been such a constant for so long people start to take it for granted.  I know for myself, I only have a few hours now on the weekends and alittle time on tuesday to play, when the server I want to spend time on is down, you go Grrrr.  But I appreciate all the time put into running these servers for us (all gratis for the guys running them).  Now we just need to get some more private servers running and it will be a blast (I am working on one, but need to get a dedicated machine to run it on, my main game machine should be able to do it, but running it in the background will have it run slow).
