Topic: Freelancer - global server workaround

I don't know how many of you lot are sporadic freelancers - I'd been away from the game for months and came back to find Microsoft has shut down the global server, so you need a workaround if you want to see the server list in-game.

(I know, the fix has been up for months, but I didn't know about it so maybe someone else is also as out of touch  )

You rock, Herr Wessels.  I got back into Freelancer about two months ago and was bummed when I didn't see any servers at all.  I'm exploring an all-new Freelancer setup that I found with the Discovery mod.

Yep got that a few months ago. One thing that is happining is that the Popular servers are posting Direct connects to there servers. I like using the LAN connections because it tends to reduce the Ping. Having a Blast on Monkey Universe. Where it pays to be a Smuggler.

On the Monkey Universe there is a TON of Illicit things you can buy and sell. Just a partial list

1. Cigs..... The Outcast way to take out the Liberty Navy. By way of Lung Cancer 
2. Narcotics...... Poppy seeds are popular 
3. Pleasure Droids...... For those lonely nights in the Middle of No Where
4. Child Slaves..... Don't even get caught transporting this. Even the Pirates will hunt you down 
5. VA Neural Chips...... Plug in, Tune in, Drop Out
