Just a reminder/Discussion thread. Supposed to deal with the Titanic in space, this will be a good one.

Umm...you might be running a little behind.  Doctor Who series 4 started two weeks ago with the episode Partners in Crime.  Tonight's episode is Planet of the Ood.  The Titanic episode, Voyage of the Damned aired last year on Christmas day.

Episode 1:  Partners in Crime  (If you dig skanky blondes with big asses you'll like this one.)

Episode 2:  Fires of Pompeii  (Examines the more heart-breaking aspects of being a tiime traveler.)

And, because I'm just that kind of guy, here's a sneak preview of tonight's episode.

I guess I am behind, I finally saw it on the sci fi channel. Nex week is the Partners in crime episode.

That's weird.  I thought the Sci-Fi channel would be showing last season's episodes with the 10th Doctor and Martha.  Did Sci-Fi skip a season?  They only started showing the 9th Doctor/2005 season a year after it had finished.

Ppppbbbt!  Why wait for Sci-Fi to get around to catching up?  Stick with me, kid, and you'll be farting through silk in no time.

Planet of the Ood  (If you remember The Impossible Planet a season or two ago you'll recall the tentacle-faced slaves used on Serenity Base.)

Oh, and I have a potential spoiler for this season based on fan rumors and dialogue from Planet of the Ood.  If you don't mind a bit of (probably total bullcrap) spoiling let me know and I'll post it for you.

Non-spoiler:  This coming weekend's episode features the return of the Sontarans.  The chief Sontaran is being played by the guy who played Mike from the Young Ones.

Spoil ahead man, I even think we have spoiler tags working now IIRC.

(spoiler) testing (/spoiler)

testing to make sure, Anyway, BBC America Just finished up with the season with Martha Jones in it, and Sci Fi had done that about 6 months ago, so what ever comes after that is what we are seeing here , well In Central Oklahoma anyways, I figured It would be the same in America...

Stephen

Edit, I'll have to find out how to do the spoiler tags again.

Hmm....that's not it.
Hello.
The spoiler tag button is up but it doesn't seem to work properly yet.  I'll PM you the possible spoiler and if you feel like it might not piss people off to see it in the clear you can post it.  I know some folks get pretty psychotic about maintaining the surprises in their TV shows.

Doctor Who:  The Sontaran Stratagem

Unified Intelligence Taskforce my shiny red Irish ass.

Oh, and this season's story arc is definitely based around the words "Medusa Cascade".  For those of you who saw last season's Master trilogy you will remember that those words were mentioned in relation to certain locations to be found at the end of the universe.  So far I believe "Medusa Cascade" has been mentioned in every episode so far this season.  "The Sontaran Stratagem" contains the most obvious reference to it yet.

Sorry I failed to update last week.  Things have been weird.

This is the second part the Sontaran two-parter this season.  Colonel Mace really comes through in the clutch.  "You will face me, sir!"

I gotta be honest, this season is NOT stacking up to Seasons 1-4 and Torchwood Season 2.   Did they change writers?   It's just not as good anymore.

I'm enjoying this season, but the Doctor needs to take Ross along with him as a companion to liven things up.  Some of the best dialogue in Sontarem Part 1 was between cute soldier boy Ross and the Doctor when they were confronting the genius kid.  He'd make a much better Companion than red-head girl.

As for Torchwood Season 2, that left me in tears. I can't wait for Season 3 (and after seeing a bunch of red beret Unit guys, I agree with Jack.  Ianto would look sexy in one of those.  If Ross doesn't join the doctor, could he join Torchwood?)

Anyone see the finale yet?  It was good but a little campy.
