Is there an Electrician in the house?

Capt. Mike, Crim, I'm thinking of you guys.

I have a problem here, when we get strong rain, and or winds, our Breaker on the pole outside trips. Now we have two boxes there, one for us and the well house, and one for the sis-in-law and the outdoor Flood lamp. Hers never goes off. None of the breakers in the house trip, nor do they in the well house.

Can an outside breaker go bad after only three- four years? This has just started up over the last month or so.

Its possible but not likely. What kind of breakers are they. That helps some too. Check to make sure your not getting any moisture in the boxes. and see if theres even a tinist bit of rust on the contacts.

Most likely it's from the swaying of your main line into the box.  Might need tightening down.  Must hire electrician for anything over 110 AC.

Well, The electric company and I finally figured it out. While the rest of Oklahoma got removed in a flood, we found a buried cable, that we thought had been removed from the box, had a short in it. Apparently at some time, a Gopher or a mole, had ate through the sheathing, 6 gauge twisted, and when the ground got too wet, It would trip.

Since It went to an old building, we hardly used, We just removed it. Anyway, this was between I'd say 3-6 am. IT is something to work with Electrical boxes outside, in the middle of a thunderstorm. Never would have done IT, If I didn't have two others from the power company right there with me.
