Yes, the classic response is: "Get a first life!" :)  I have not had a chance to check it out, as I only recently got a video card capable of running it.  But ye ol Dynaverse keeps me plenty busy, so I doubt I'd ever really get into it.

Second life violates my TOS for playing video games.

It doesn't let me "blow sh*t up".

Believe it or not there is a porno version of this game.  I can't remember the name of it but it's meant to be just like Second Life.....with the big difference being you can screw like a horny sailor in the porno version.  From what I remember of the screenshots almost any kind of sex is available, ranging from standard "mom-n-pop" style missionary to full-on bondage dungeon sessions.

Oh good Lord. Have you seen the variations on force-feedback joysticks in this market? (i.e. stimulative action at a distance... kind of like the spooky action at a distance of quantum entanglement?)

Well, they do have a USB powered toy, wouldn't be much of a step to have speed control and such from an online interface.

Actually, that should be more for the H&S crowd then here.

That being said, I've played around with 2nd life a few times. There is a few MMORPG's, but most of them are pretty lame. Then again, PC graphics don't turn me on that much.

I've often thought about Buying some real estate, and starting a Star Trek Community just for the Dyna group. But I would have to spend more time there. It may even be a one horse joke, as we would be able to make fun of our own personalities, by giving them a graphic.

Second life never really interested me... Then again none of 'The Sims' type gaming ever interested me.

Apologies knightstorm. No offense intended. And just so you know, it's not my cup of tea either, I find it rather creepy too, which is why I mentioned it.

Indeed, we should keep any detailed discussions of such topics behind firmly closed doors!

Interesting idea for Dynaverse RP... I wonder what the SL API look like and how detailed is it? (i.e. detailed enough to allow for collection of player IPs and launching of multiplayer missions possibly even reporting to a dynaverse server? Might be worth investigation for Omniverse type concepts..)

Don't worry guys.  By the time this becomes mainstream somebody will decide to "protect" the world from it, whether the world wants to be protected or not.

I'm sorry if my delicate sensibilities upset you.  Feel free to engage in whatever online perversion you want, but please don't post it for everyone to see.  By the way, if you're into pornographic video games, you should look at this classic.  Admittedly the graphics look like lego characters having sex, but it helped bring about the video game crash of 1983
