Hi, i am using daz3d hexagon2 to make some very low poly shuttles, im going to use 512 bmp for the textures on a single sheet, the aim of this project is to see how good i can make a low poly shuttle look. I want to make many varients using this simple form as a base. not much to look at and very simple i know, but that is the idea. I want to build on this and expand my knowledge of modelling, texturing and in game conversions. I look forward to swapping ideas with you all and recieving tips and advice.
Hmmm, I can see about three or four varients off this right off the bat.. the shuttlepod from Season 1 TNG, a Workbee varient, some banged-up asteroid miner base transport, maybe even a Klingon, Romulan or Orion pod.. maybe even a wild weasel design. And if you clone and mirror the cabin, you could create something like a Tholian shuttle as well.
Basic designs give you a lot of flexibility.. the trick for you is once you get a .3ds export out of Daz, how to get it into .MOD from there..
