Hey boys, girls and... hmm, never been able to figure out you Hydrans.  Anyhow what's going on these daze?  I still have OP lurking on my hard drive and though I have not played it for a long time am loath to remove it.  Anyone want to give this ol' decrepid kitty an update on what's been happening in the community (if there is one)?

Is anyone still around I'd even know (other than Chuut Ritt - who I must emberassingly admit to knowing somewhat)?

 well there is myself the great and wonderfull, and there are a few other minor ones around good to see your still breathing.

we are waiting on SGO8 if you feel like jumping in the capt chair once more, and as for the hydrans its boy, girl, and girl combo

You should fire that puppy up! Slave Girls 8 (or 9, we've lost count) is coming someday <snicker> and it pits the Lyrans and Klinks against the Hydrans and Mirak. We could use a good Lyran pilot because Hexx still can't see over the dashboard without a couple of phone books to prop him up and his insurance company has specifically told him not to do that again or they will drop his coverage.

Key words from above - "Good lyran pilot".  Hmm, let's see - haven't commanded a starship in how long?!  I can only sneak out of the old folks home so often.  Last time I played in a server ist struck me as a major deja vu - haven't I done this exact battle a zillion times before?  I probably had!  If I can start with a DN or Battleship maybe I'd consider wandering back in at least long enough for someone to kill me.  Better yet, give me a shadow cruiser...

Maybe that's it - if I "graduated" to Admiral and got into the operation side of setting up servers more.  As I said, playing seems to be so similar each time... over and over and over the same ol' battles - it's very hard to get very charged up.
The most fun I ever had in a server was the one that we sort of mutally decided to end when the 9/11 attack hit. Most didn't feel much like gaming for a while after that.  Some fool(s) let me be in command of the combined Lyran/Klingon/someone else - I forget who - forces.  We were doin pretty good too!
