Yet again with the Romulans...
« on: March 14, 2008, 07:07:34 am »
...Had an idea about a new type of warbird, possibly a mid-sized design, something like 380-400 metres long.  Also it was designed with multi-missions in mind... like the romulan science ship.  And like that vessel, the "head" section is swappable for other hardware that is more mission specific.  In it's standard configuration, the one you are being exposed to now, the ship has a detachable support craft as the "head"(similar to the Galaxy-class starship of the Federation).

my God I love that ship, it's like the Romulans stole an Oberth (dont ask me why but I see Oberth in it) and bred it's sexy cousin.

Lovely birdie sketches, mesh has a way to go... I particularly liked the one with "feet" like it was alive, made my day!  ;D

Kinda reminds me of Ent-K from Kt'Hyla ( a tiny bit).

Good idea exploring modular systems on a larger scale.

I'm loving the design, my only question is the area circled in attached pic. It looks very Feddie. What is it supposed to be?

Speaking of......I would love to see Atolm re-address the STOCK SFC Roms, I dont think aside from retextures anyone has ever redone them with new meshes or ironed out the old design issues (lack of details on models). Perhaps a future project ?
