BSG Scorpion fleet shipyards

This is what i have so far for the station, its poly is just under 40000. Im sure its to much for sfc but is there any one here that wants to mess with it for sfc maybe break it up in sections or something make it less lagable? Hell even add detail i dont care just get it to work in SFC.
 Im going to map and text it for some guys for Freelancer and several other games but im sure you all here wont like what i have done so im offering a clean unmaped mesh if any one want to play with it and make it look good in SFC .

Dude you know i want it and can get it working..... maybe...in the very least i will try my damnest

Questions though:
1. How many textures maps overall?
2. Whats the poly count of each section?
3. Do you mind if it isn't possible to get it working in its entirety (using all the ways possible) would you mind if it got broken down to more manageable "chunks"? (random note if its done that way, not only would people get to pick and choose the sections they want, but with it been used in lower poly blocks, and would equal as more stations been added to the "race" as a whole)


I think i worked out a way of reducing the poly count, but your not gonna like me..... it involves remaking some of it so it can use transparency's, which i would need reread up upon (or maybe Fury can jump in and help out a bit)

As for now the textures look great,  very nice and simple yet effective if you can give me a .3ds with attached lightmaps and main textures, i can see what i can do to help tweak the textures, thats if you want some of my infamous "mega detailing" added which your welcome to pass over to freelancer.

Note if Rengers if he reads this: Think you might be able to help me by mapping and tweaking the mesh if Kreeargh doesn't mind slaving over it with us?
Your top on the get the station list  ;)  but you need textures maps to play with ,I'm workin on that  :-[ .
I  was offering a clean mesh for those who want to do everything edited the mesh or map and or texture it or whatever.  Some like to just play with meshes and not release any thing  ;D
 The station is going to be in 6 diffrent games all BSG mods from what ive been told, 5 freelancer mods alone and i was also asked by a game doveloper for it to be used in a free battlestar galactia game.   If i can get it done in time that is and i dont have to have good  textures on it for that :P just keep it below 42000 poly  Its going to get detailed textured by them if their game is a go i guess.  All i was asked for was for it to be mapped in some way or another.
For SFC i will break it up similar to Freelancer in 4 10000 poly sections i guess that way they will play in game with minimal lag i will try and keep the maps to a minimum no more that say 10 for each section if needed not do the 30 or more i normally do . I have some textures that will give it some detail exotically around the edges of the flat work  and buildings. I'm wanting to get those to look ok.
So far the flat works mapping is plainer using a simple 1024x1024 Aztec  map with it layered all funky using the # controlls in uvwwrap {im thinking on redoing} and the tracks are using a copy of coxxons pegasus runway thats 128 x 1024 which is a pain in the butt to get looking right because of all the curves. I want to keep using 1 map for the tracks so when i go to attach all the tracks max wont give me crap about the maps.

As far as i know transperancy is done useing the uvw tools making the texture see through. Im not sure how it could help with detail or lowering of poly. The 3ds copy of my Cylon reserection ship the center tube thing is transperant but it doents show up in sfc becaues its useing a bmp if the yellow texture was changed to a tga it might work i dont know i cant test for sfc my games dont work  >:(

ok here is what i have so far this section is done - a small part of track and i need to add some trains on the rails when i get them done.

Heres the crap i came up with sorry about that all  :-\  Around 37000 poly in total and broken up in to 4 less than 10000 poly sections if any one wants it pm or email me.
