For anyone interested here's the Doctor Who series 4 trailer from the British theaters.  Not to drop too many spoilers but it looks as if RTD has gone with the standard "companion has deep romantic feelings for the Doctor" YET AGAIN.  Also, I'd swear that the women performing the ceremony are members of the Sisterhood of Karn (check on YouTube for The Brain of Morbius).  If they are Sisters then the Doctor has landed in the same solar system that used to also contain Gallifrey.  Further (purely meaningless) guesswork leads me to believe that the hand coming out of the green slime might very well belong to Morbius himself, last seen tumbling off a cliff and into a bottomless gorge.  (It might also be a resurrected Master since the Sisterhood has control over the Elixir of Life.)

Needless to say, the Sontarans are coming back and this time they look like they have a severe form of Down's Sydrome and some wicked bucked teeth.  Oh and Martha has been working for Torchwood since she left the Doctor.  Rose is rumored to have been working with the Alternate Earth version of Torchwood in the alternate universe she's trapped in.

I was shocked when a couple of weeks ago, I saw Martha on Torchwood, I thought cool Cameo, then she was on again, etc. Nice how they link the shows together. after last night, I would caution anyone getting married in England though. :D

I just loved the wedding episode.  It was hilarious.  Robert and I were almost shouting 'NO!' at the scene between Capt. Jack and Gwen only to discover it was the shapeshifter and not the real Jack kissing her.  Our hearts were breaking for Ianto.

Oh, and the whole Owen arc has been great as well...Poor Tosh.

Poor Owen, Jack at least has Permanent Life, Owen is forever Dying. I think It's wonderfull how they wrote that in. they could really mess with Owen and give him that Necklace thingie that Tosh wore in season one, the one where she could read everyones minds.

Eeeek!  You are a cruel, cruel man.  On the other hand, the creators of Torchwood are even crueler.  Can you imagine the writers sitting around and chatting with each other?

"Yeah, so we got Jack and he like, can't die, so what do we do?"

"Hey!  I got it!  We kill Owen and bring him back to life, but then, he's not really alive.  So now we got two characters who can't die, but one's alive and the other's this walking Zombie! Cool, eh?"

"Yeah, but is it really necrophilia?"

"Can't you go three minutes in a story line without sex?"

"C'mon, didn't you read that new study?  Men spend half their day thinking about nothing but sex!!!  We've got all kinds of sex here, a little for everyone!"

"A little?"

"Well, it's just there's so many combinations that are possible.  Like, for instance, can we manage to get a Jack/Gwen/Rhys three-way going?"

"Naw, that's too easy.  How about...wait, yeah, I got it, Gwen/Rhys and a shapechanger that LOOKS like Jack!"

:)

Yup, another Torchwood writer's meeting.

I would caution that myself, but in the case of Torchwood, it's getting married in Wales that is where the threat lies.
Remember, it's all set in and around Cardiff. The accents should imply that it's not entirely England... though Cardiff accents aren't really that strong compared to the Valleys accent to the north and east of Cardiff, or as soft and musical as the accents to the West.

But i'll forgive you for your insensitive slip.  ;D ;D ;)
God said to the Welsh: 'I am going to give you this glorious land of lakes and mountains.' So where's the catch, asked the Welsh? 'Wait until you see the neighbours,' replied God.

Both Doctor who and Torchwood are BBC Wales shows.
While the UK should be happy that one of our shows is so well liked in the US, it does give us Welsh just a little bit more satisfaction and pride. While the current season of Torchwood was filming, they did some scenes in an area called Penarth. They were filming right at the bottom of my friends street. As a result he couldn't get out to work, and he's a teacher. So to apologise, the crew and the stars invitied my friend and his class of students to come back the next day. My friend, told me of how Eve myles made his eys pop out, and that he would be willing to try being gay for a bit just for John barrowman.  ;D

He had a great time showing off his personal and signed photos to me and my friend when he headed west to visit.

Hell!  I just realized I forgot to put in the link for the season 4 Doctor Who trailer.  This is the one they've been showing in the theaters.

Oh, and since this one is much better quality than the link I had before I can tell now that the person climbing out of the green slime seems to be Martha Jones.
