Forgotten Trek.
« on: February 26, 2008, 10:13:19 am »
I didn't get these when they first came out but they were still floating around in the 70s as reprints and old issues found behind someone's sofa or in a box at that wonderful old flea market I grew up around.  (Sometimes I wonder if the old pervert who sold 18th and 19th century volumes cheek by jowel with cheap porno mags is still alive.)  Somehow one gets the idea that the script writers for this version of Trek didn't quite understand the hopeful nature of Roddenberry's vision.  This becomes especially clear when one reads about the Enterprise sterilising a planet of all life in the first issue.
