I seem to remember a post saying that another company had better drivers for ATI AGP cards. Could somebody help me?

Why was this not fixed? I would say it is a game killer every bit as much as the mysterious dail up bug that keeps the patch as a Beta version.

Ok, it's not the drivers. Now a game with so few of mission pack should have absolutly NO bugs in them. Especially the primary one for taking a hex from your enemy.

With all due respesct to Taldren and ATVI, why don't you ask David Wessels, Clint, TraceyG or many others out here for help to fix these. I am assuming that programmers are like most  skilled people in that I doubt that they play the game when they go home after working on it all day. It would be like dragging your job with you into your fun time. So why not let the die hard gamers who know code help make this a better game?

I don't know of any other game community that has such a passion for maintaining and improving itself. Everquest maybe.

Please let the community help.

Dude...Nobody has different drivers for ATI cards

If you do end up finding some (you won't)...Why would you use them?..They are not supported

I am exploring the possibility that the ATI drivers are the cause for the vanishing planet when doing a planetary assult missions. That is why I am looking. I can always reload the orginal disk.

Wrong we users of GeForce4 cards get that too.

Well, it's not like I will kill the machine or anything. I just want to try something, anything. This happens way too much and if the mission cannot handle that many things moving at once then it would be nice to say it's in the code and not a video card issue.

Look at this thread <http://208.57.228.4/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB8&Number=38121&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1> for a description of my experiences with this bug (you were in on one or two of those missions). It's not the video drivers, it's in the code.

Sounds like your problem isn't video driver related, but one of the best sites for finding the latest released as well as Beta and unsupported drivers is:

Aye Ive seen this many times before on my GF2 ti, latest drivers, patches etc. I figure the dissapearing planet is related to the exploding ship problem, this is likely somthing to do with (he guesses) the way in which the game updates objects on screen. Ive seen this problem in other games aswell believe it or not!
