The scene where we first see Iron Man, with Black Sabbath playing in the background, could be worth the price of admission. lol

When I heard that Robert Downey Jr. was going to be Tony Stark I wasn't that excited. But then I realized that Stark is a rather broken figure so Downey was perfect for that role. lol

well who knows, maybe marvel with be able to make it worse, or make that films a great hits.

well we will know this summer.

at lest i have not was money to watch that films.

They did a really good job with the trailer without really showing much of the 'real movie' which is usually a good sign. Casting is pretty good...Downey's a great choice for Tony Stark in my mind. There's always that element of uncertainly with Marvel movies, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

They did do a good job, just anough to entice you into wanting to see it, and not feel like you seen the best parts.

Downey as Tony Stark. I think it will be a good pick now. A few years ago, I don't think he could have done the part (aside from being in jail to much), I don't think he would have been up to the part. Will have to catch this one and see how it is.

I'm very much looking forward to it, haven't liked most of the Marvel bunch (Spiderman 1 being the main exceptipn, 2 was OK, and I *did* like teh Punisher movie, it wasn't billiant but I found it far better then SM:3,eithr of the Fantastic Four films, Hulk, Ghost Rider,Daredevil,Elektra..)

Looks great (duh) and, as mentioned, Downey seems to be a pefect fit for Tony Stark.

well DD was not too bad, not sure about elektra, GR was good, hulk was (for what i have see) a bit stupid, the janitor having his dog at the job (yea right), FF was not good, too much fx and doom ak like him, a moron big head, SM 3 was bad, venom should have ben black, not gray

Well the only saving grace for FF movies was Jesica Alba, But I hear she's knocked up again, so She no longer matters to me.

I did kinda like the hulk, but the ending was horrible.

Spiderman 1 was the only one I really liked.

DD, Elektra, wasn't too bad.

Punisher rocked.

Anyone besides me have the Animated Iron Man Movie? It's not too bad If you want a rental.

The problem with Marvel is they seem to let the directors/studios move too far away from the source material and try to please everyone - hardcore fans as well as the casual movie go-er/uninitiated. They need to take a lesson from LOTR - If you stay true to the original concept your fans will come back repeatedly and drag others who have no notion of what they are missing.

The second one was better than the first, but they ruined Galactus and the perfect segue into a third movie.

I guess I'm the only one (along with my friend) who didn't like this movie. I thought it was hokey and that the GG was a poor choice of villians played in a very corny manner. Alfred Molina's man-boobs ruined the second one

Yes! As well as the Dr. Strange movie and the two Ultimate Avengers movies. The Avengers movies are pretty good, Dr Strange and Iron Man were OK. The story for Iron Man seemed out of place to me and things were formulaic.

Anyone ever see the Dr Strange TV movie with Robert Reed as DS? Yes Mr Brady was Dr. Strange!!

There is also an almost never seen Captian America movie with a guy named Reb Brown. Fights the Red Skull, but I can't remember much more. I thought it was a good effort for a very low budget attempt.

I think one of the more cooler things about the Iron Man movie is that alot of the effects are Real and not CGI

cgi can be good, but too much of it and the movie will be boring.

it seem that they will or they are using cgi for the restoration of the original startrek, hope they don't do that.

They already have. I've been watching them for months. They are actually very respectful of the original shots they are enhancing.

i have check only the doomsday machine and if they have use cgi on it its well done and you don't see it.

but it would be better if they use model instead.

i was thinking of a "what if" in the ddm, what if commodore decker never send his crew on the planet?

what would happen?, he would never use a shuttle and commit suicide and kirk would never overload the engines and trow the ship into the ddm and it would have continue to destroyed planet before they could get help.

but that would be interesting.

Well, what I have disliked of the Spiderman shows is that they seem to want to put in more action and less storyline. How many vilians do you have to throw into a movie to make it worth seeing. For me it would be one with a good storyline. I guess the current thought is 3 with no storyline.

Even if you don't like the Punisher, you have to like the fight scene with the Russian. That is just too funny.

Robert Downy Jr as Iron man. Wow, the fellow has come a long way.

he must be working hard on his life to change things around like this. I'll watch it though the although the Iron Man suit looks too digital.
