Is it a 939 AMD chip?

Also, what kind of RAM?  PC3200 or DDR400? etc.

If you know your motherboard make & model, that would be helpful in determining what you can replace it with that will still run all of your old stuff.

You'll probably have to buy it off of eBay or amazon, but shouldn't cost more than $50 or so.

i think its DDR i know it was 2x pack of ram, well friday i will get my com and ask what's the mother board and ram and video card, the video card is a genforge 6600 i think, since a game i buy was not compatible with that card and there was not patch for it, you find out only wehn you install the game, nothing was say that is was not compatible.

That's a socket 939 Board Don. They are Pretty cheap, If the Proccesser still works. Then again, IT's pretty cheap also to buy a modern board with a new Proc. also.

My next update will be to get away from my AGP Video card. But I have to save up for the MB, new Video Card, New Ram etc. The cheaper idea for you might be to Get a new 939 MB, but It's ultimatly up to you and your budget my friend.

Yeah It
s an old AGP board, Ram is 2 gig IIRC. I'll have to check it out tomorrow, as I have it deep down in this Storage room I used to call my office. But I even have a ATI 800 Pro card I can throw in.

Just remember, Pass It on to someone else. When you get the chance, help someone else out, with a computer, pack of Hot Dogs, etc.

The Asus A8N-SLI is PCI-Express with dual graphics card slots using Nvidia SLI technology.

There are a couple of A8N-E boards on eBay for about $35, the A8N-SLI boards seem to be going for at least a hundred bucks, some for $200 (for the deluxe).  So, $70 is a good deal.
