So firstly lets get this out of the way....
ARROW CLASS RUNABOUT

Original Design by: Malcolm Lu (Galen) and Andrew Gillespie (Kaden)
Mesh by: Mark Azevedo (Maz1701)

=====================
Technical Information:
-----------------------
* Created with 3DS Max 7
* Polygon count: 299,786
* Lighting: Using the default scanline render, I have set up a "light dome" around the mesh to illuminate it. Be aware that these lights have been set to ray trace shadows, which will increase the render time on slower machines. If you wish to speed up the rendering, change this to the standard shadow map setting.
* There is only one texture map used with this mesh, Impulse_Gradiant.jpg, for the impulse engine glow effect. All other textures are built within the Max file itself.

All images created with this mesh MUST have proper credit information applied. Please follow through on this, as it keeps us emotionally volatile artists happy, and when we're happy we produce more meshes! :-)
Credits should be applied as follows...

Editing or altering this mesh is not allowed. Please do not do it! That includes kitbashing the mesh with bits and pieces of other meshes...that's just nasty.
The only exception to this is the hull's NCC number and name. These may be deleted and replaced with new numbers and names to suit your purposes.
Conversion to other formats, such as Lightwave or .obj, is allowed but please contact me first at maz1701@yahoo.com. There may already be a conversion out there that I'll know about, which will save you a lot of time.
Enjoy the mesh, and use it well. We look forward to seeing many images using this beauty of a ship. And let me know if you do use it, as I would love to see what can be done with her.
Thanks!

maz1701@yahoo.comOk thats the original readme for the original ship. as it says it was 299,786 polys which is a tad high for any gaming use.. Looking at the mesh i though it would be possible to create a version for gaming use with very high detail meshed at around 10,000k.. so shaving off a mere 290,000k polys might speed up your games a little lol..
anyhoot, awsome model, the design is sweet and i know it has been tried a few times before.. the version i have built though is nearly 100% perfect to the original, the mesh still needs some tyding up here and their but its about 80% complete, i'll show ya some pics, but work on this model is on hold until i have finished up the gagarin.
