KDE Windows Alphas Released!

:woot:  :multi:  I've been waiting some time for this one:

http://windows.kde.org/news.php#itemKDEmirrorsavailableandnewsnapshotrelease

It is recommended to select the Microsoft Visual C compiler (-msvc) versions at install.

I can't wait to use K3B for CD/DVD burning from my windows install. I hope it makes the ports.

Only drawback for me is the cygwin style installer they have going on, network installs and dial-up just don't mix. So it will take some time for me to get to try this out.  :(

P.S. There's some OS X KDE stuff out too, but I haven't looked into it as I'm not a Mac person.

This is cool. 8) I'm posting from Konqueror running on WinXP SP2 running the Emerge Desktop shell. Konqueror is not finished but looking pretty good so far. I'm going to try some of the games. (No K3B yet...  :'(). It might be my imagination but the KDE apps seem to run better when using emerge as the windows shell instead of explorer.
