Hey TUS.

I managed to make the phaser array according to your steps, but it doesn't look right.  I saved the project, so hopefully if you're still offering the tutoring in MSN, I'll send you the file and you can look at it.

I know that. He'll help you do phasers. From what I've been able to pick up from various places, one step learned can always be reused on something else. He might have agreed to help you do phasers, the conversations might end there, but when you apply what you've learned to something else, he'll have, more or less, tought you (part of) that part, too.

I'm just excited for you, that's all.  ;)

I've been practicing this technique, and have made the phasers look smoother, but I could seriously use alot of guidance when it comes to refining the end results just right, and also when it comes to applying it to whatever ship I want to use it on, as well as properly making saucers.

Think you'd be willing to teach this dimwitted kitbashing fool what you know TUS?

ok.. sorry i have been away and have not been able to give a little bit of advice..

even if you have a low poly saucer u can still chamfer the edges to make it smooth..

select edge - selection modifier rollout - ring (all outer edges selected) then chamfer..

you may need to tesselate by face afterward, to tidy up but it works...

also after selecting ur edges to create the phaser strips.. use the same method again...

ala... low poly saucer high poly phasers... and rim...

catch me on msn if ya need help..

PM me for me addy or ask starforce he has it  ;)
