No offence meant but none of them really fit the Star Trek Universe. There's nothing to 'LIFT' in space so rotors would be useless.

I'm pretty sure the original idea was to use the basic shape of the aircraft and not to just make "helicopters in space"

That aside, no lift has never stopped the "jet planes in space" design mentality.
