You might want to watch it again, the two balloons 8 feet apart.  Accuracy.

But I do agree with the last statement.

I've deliberately keyholed shots on the range with an SMLE Mk.5. rifle back in my Army days. Doubt if my eyes are up to it now. I've also shot coins as small a UK penny out of idiot's fingers for bets, but that was a long time ago.

Ah but is this guy as fast as Terrence Hill, eh??

Could he draw his gun, shoot it, slap the other guy around a bit and replace his gun in the holster in a blink of an eye??

Our draw the other guy's pistols, slap him around and then replace them again??

I used to enjoy those old Terrence Hill comedy westerns!!

some damn impressive skills there, but i'd be interested to see how well he did under fire..

his general physical condition indicates he probably wouldnt react very well to the influx of adrenaline.

Terrence Hill? Was he the guy in the old spaghetti westerns like "My name is Nobody"? If he was, his "quick draw" was the result of speeding up the film.

Ive put 10 out of 10 rounds in a target the size of a playing card at 300 yrds with a Remington 30-06. Im also a decent shot with a Colt 1911-A.

I've never been able to shoot pistols, even back in my Army days with the 9mm. Browning. I tend to "pendulum", if you know what the shooting term means.

Now rifles, them I can shoot along with the 30mm. Rarden.

I've also done archery, though not with a Long Bow, which needs a very strong man to pull something 6 foot tall with the pull of a chest exerciser. Also having to walk up to a mile to pick up the 4 Pound yard long arrows. I know someone who demonstartes the things at contry shows and trains folks for films.

One of the tricks in archery is to wrap PVC tape loosely around your arrow hand middle and forth fingers seperately as this lets the arrow loose from the fingers cleanly, thus giving a clean launch.

Shotguns.... designed for people who can't shoot straight or are just to drunk to shoot straight!!

A Friend and myself used to use pipe gun mines when we went poaching for rabbits over here. What I used to do was make the things up out of copper gas pipe, black powder and a biro spring on wire for the firing mechanism.

Out in the field we'd place them all around the Bunny Wunny's Warren in a cresent, lay out electrical wirung, hook up the detonator and wait. Sure enough the critters would appear and I would click the arming button then twist the rotary trigger. All the pipe guns would fire their buck shot in succession and mow them all down.

The result, loads of dead Bunnies and a happy farmer, if we were there by permission, but most usually not.

Pipe guns are remarkably quiet, and just make a dull "phut" when let off. The effects are just as devestating as a 12 guage though!!

And that's how ex-Squaddies used to go hunting over here!!

Here you go Panzer..just to keep your Irish neighbors happy..

  http://www.mshamash.com/spud/spudgun1.html

A potato gun sometimes called a spudzooka or spud gun is weapon that can launch spuds at over 200 ft/s. It is a propellant based gun that uses any propane based aerosol as a propellant (most experiments use hair spray, for it is inexpensive and easy to use). The way it works is propellant is injected into the combustion chamber and ignited with a BBQ sparker, as the gas expands it pushes the potato up the barrel and out of the gun.
Building a potato gun is fairly simple provided some basic tools are available. The most basic potato gun consists of three main components: a combustion chamber, a barrel, and an ignitor. The combustion chamber and the barrel are usually constructed out of pressure rated PVC or ABS piping and the ignitor can be any type of sparker, but most potato gun experimenter's prefer to use BBQ ignitors, for they provide a large and effective spark.

Parts
2 feet of 2 inch dia. PVC or ABS pressure rated pipe
1 foot of 3 inch dia. PVc or ABS pressure rated pipe
screw off end cap for 3 inch pipe (note: clean out plug may be used)
slip to threaded 3 inch fitting
3 to 2 in reducer
PVC or ABS cement (note: do NOT mix PVC pipes with ABS pipes or fitting, only use PVC cement on PVC and ABS on ABS)
BBQ ignitor
2 drywall screws
hair spray
plenty of spuds

The rest of the instructions are on the site...

not that I agree, but i should point out that simple possession of a spud gun is a crime in many states in the US.

I use a shotgun for home defense, but as you know, most cops in NC frown on you carrying a sawed-off shotgun down the street. I keep my sidearm tucked neatly under my arm in a shoulder holster and my concealed carry permit tucked neatly in my wallet.

inaccurate....  legality is defined by the written law for that jurisdiction, you are correct however in stating you will only be punished if you are caught.

Most folks modify gas bird scarer guns around here. I used to have a 1930's spud firing air rifle when I was 7. Spud guns are quite a common toy here.

Now if you load a spud cannon with French Fries, does that have a better shotgun effect. Technically that would be a "Case" shot!! (If you don't know what a case shot is, it is a special shell used by tanks to shoot down armoured attack helicoptors at up to just over a mile by sparying them with thousands of 9mm. steel ballbearings. Nothing flies without rotor blades, no matter how armoured it is!!)

Due to my specialty in the forces, improvising and creating booby traps, "Pandora" mines, etc. was part of our training so that we would understand what to look for. If you know how to make one, you can spot one.

I was also trained how to kill guard dogs. Dogs are pretty easy to kill as they are (A) very stupid and (B) a lot weaker physically than humans. The easiest method was to simply stick a pencil or stick straight through the eye into the brain, or grab both front legs and wrench apart (ruptures the heart) or let the dog grab your deliberately presented arm and then bring out your other hidden knife weilding arm to plunge the blade into the top of the skull dead between the ears. You need the dog to be holding you so that it can't yelp!!

Like the instructor pointed out, "A dog is weaker than a man and relies on a lot of bluff. A dog can't bite through a man's arm, but a man can easily bite through a dog's leg because humans have more than double the bite power of a dog!! Alaays remember this fact!!"

I've never been frightened of dogs since.

I have a slight disagreement with the statement that a human bit is stronger then a dogs.  Hmmm, my dog can shatter a cows leg bone without to much difficulty.  Just seeing the things my Akita/lab used to break with ease when he bit it would keep me from wanting to put my arm in his mouth if he wanted to attack me.

But I will agree, because we have better movement, and most of us are more intelligent, dogs can be overcome quickly if you are ready for them.

Good point Mars. My dogs work as a pack though. My bostons are incredible, and alot of fun. The thing is though, About twice a year, they go out Boar hunting with me. It's something to see, 9 bostons bringing down a boar. Of course they also are no good when It comes to cleaning the prey. :D

You'll find that millitary dogs are trained never to go out of sight of their handler because he provides protection for them as much as he provides protection for them.

The Royal Marine Commandoes use cross bows to deal with both sentries and dogs. When I was a teenager, a friend's father was an instructor and let us have a go with the beast.... it takes to marines to cock due to the draw string tension.

We had an incident reported on the news, back in the 1990's, where a pack of 3 Rottweiler guard dogs had to be put down because the theives simply threw a petrol bomb at them before cutting the fence and breaking into a car yard. The dogs were so badly burnt that putting them down was the right thing to do.

The other method theives use on unattended guard dogs is to throw bleach on them.

The maximum presure of a human bite is twice that of a dog. Don't forget, 7,000 years ago we were living wild and crunching up bones for the marrow too.

Don't forget also that soldiers are in peak physical condition (unless they work in stores or the cookhouse) and those most likely to be in a position where they'd be required to stealtily eliminate a guard dog will be selected from the best of these.

I kind of figure that the gunslinger guy would have no trouble taking out a pack of 6 dogs or wolves in under a second.

What's amazing is that the gun is single action only as well.

As for the girl with the pistol all I can say is how??

I just can't figure how she managed to smack herself in the face unless she was holding it loosely between only a couple of her fingers and somebody had a maximum load shell in the chamber.

Imagine if it was a 45!! :o

I've actually seen a slide blown clean off of a Browning 9mm. at a range when some bozo figured that it was OK use CZ 9mm. shells labelled "For SMG and Carbine use only. Do not use in pistols!!" was just scare mongering. He was stood 8 feet from me when his gun exploded. Apart from soiled pants, he was unscathed!! The pistol was scrap!!
