Dinaverse 1 SFC1

Hi, I'm new in the forum

I got my SFC1 CD several years ago, but when I switched to win xp I couldn't make it to run.  I decided past days to install it and it worked, even got the 1.3 patch.

My question is, where can I play SFC1 on-line like the "dynaverse", or is not possible anymore??

Welcome to the forum. 

On this precise issue I can't help a lot but perhaps a little as I don't use SFC1 or Windows XP myself..  I upgraded to SFC2EAW then to Orion Pirates on Windows 2000 Pro and have never looked back. 

1/ SFC1 does not have a dynaverse.  Online play was just person vs person battles and I am unsure if that is still supported by the 3rd party that handled it.  Others may know more.

2/ I believe that XP can be told to run programs in "compatiblity modes".  Have you tried that?  Try setting for Windows 2000 or Windows 98 compatibility.

3/ If I remember right one of our people (who will be back on the forums next week sometime hopefully) had a method for making SFC1 run on XP.  I'll try to contact him and see if he still remembers how.

4/ Someone else who has solved this may jump in at any time with a solution so please stand by.

Actually mine is working good in winxp after like mmm 6 years... dont ask me why, personally I dont know. Im not using compatibility mode at all.  If I use, the cd is not detected lol... And in the past the game entered and crashed badly.

I didnt knew that SFC hadnt dynaverse, thanks.

Welcome CesarW,

I know that Panzergranate and probably some other members play SFC1 through an LAN connection. He will probably see this thread sometime soon or you could try sending him a Private Message. Hopefully that'll help.
