« on: December 10, 2007, 12:43:08 am »
Finally, I've had this one sitting in my cue for a long time. Thanks to Centurus, she's finally ready.

OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
U.S.S. Thunderbolt NCC-120
Thunderbolt Class Command Cruiser Refit FCC+

Owner: United Federation of Planets
Class: Heavy Combat Vessel
Availability: Limited Availability

Shortly after its introduction into the fleet, a variant of the Constitution class was introduced that featured enhanced command and control abilities and a heavier arsenal.
These "command cruisers" were not very common, but those produced usually served in strategic sectors leading other Starfleet vessels in defense of the Federation.

and it's even a crossover, it's got tmp styled phaser setup, so this was built just before the refit enterprise came into being.

Nice design,  not really my taste, but nice none the less.

Forgive me if I'm wrong (and I probably am) but aren't the
sensor pods on the upper pylon being blocked by the primary saucer?
Or does that really matter?

there suppose to be mega phaser not sensors, and the registry number is too low for a ship designs after the constitution class.

The Constitution was created in or around 2245 IIRC I placed this ship to the late TOS era prior to TMP refits, I don't recall any mega phasers in TOS. Besides Don, I'm the one that built it...I know what I put on the model LOL They're sensors  ;)
