THE FOUR POWERS WAR, Y158-Y162

    The last of the small regional wars involved the Klingons and Lyrans against their enemies, the Kzintis and Hydrans, from Y158 to Y162. The war was savage (being the first to have large numbers of ships involved) but ultimately just another border war as the state of logistics made any deep strikes into enemy territory impossible to support. The logistical systems that would allow such deep attacks were developed in the last days of the Four Powers War, and were perfected in time for the next one.
    The Four Powers War was significant, however, for a radical technological innovation (previously known only to the Hydrans) that changed the galaxy forever: warp engines small enough to power armed shuttles. These rapidly evolved into "fighters" which dominated war for the next two decades. Coupled with the new faster drones, war was about to become more affordable and dangerous.


My guess would be that this would mean that the server would be in early the whole time, but I like early era.  Perhaps just a short server, and the best thing is no feds (hurray!) and no plasma (hurray!).  What say you??

I would be in for any server, and that one sounds great to me.  Most likely someone puts one up, and they will come to play.

A Four Powersish one was done some time ago, and iirc, found that the early hellbore ships kicked the crap out of D7's in a very nasty way.

Still with some coniving it might balance out.
If not, I'll just fly Hydran.

I dunno if a war without Feddies and plasma would be 'trek', but WTF- Hellbores for everyone !!!

The ships balance out more when you get to around 2270 but yeah, the LB completely owns the D7C (and the F-CC+ for that matter . . .)

What about a General war without Escelation?  What if the Organians never disappear and the Federation never enters the war?   Lyans and Klingons versus Mirak and Hydrans.  Think of it as a 4PW Part deux.

What about that one where the Hydrans try to win into Fed space?  Did that server work?
For die hard ( no offence) Feds?Roms, could there ships be avaialble only by Admin edit - simulating the limited release of Fleet X.  It could alos be OOB so if you lost that CVB+...

I think that was the only server I went undefeated in and all I flew was the Z-CC, lots of D7Cs and a dead DNE left in my wake.

If you think it works best mid to late (I am assuming that is what you are suggesting), I am fine with that.  I just want to see an actual server up that people are on.
