Converting StarFleet Command 2 and 3 film over to Windows Media Player or MP3 format?I would like to know how this is done or if it can be done as it would be great to upload them up to YouTube or LiveVideo.I have tried windows movie maker that doesn't work as well as WMP doesn't have the right codec. It would be nice to see the game films without having to load up the game.

Thanks

You cannot directly convert an SFC .rec film to a windows media movie. (Only SFC knows how to interpret a game film file, and what models to use for what ships etc...). Your best bet might be to run in windowed mode and use an application like Hypercam to capture video from screen as SFC plays back your film.

Now there might be better ways, Chris Jones may have some tips, and who was that fellow that made a movie with SFC3? Wasn't long ago.... What did he use?

I think many people use FRAPS for this purpose.

www.fraps.com

System Specs:

Dell Dimension E521
AMD64x2 5000+
2G DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3
250GB SATA HD

You might be talking about the Bink viewer Mani. I can't remember, But I think the pro tools let you convert to .Mpg.

Binks is kind of complicated as it requires a bunch of ranges to fill in.It looks like the best way is to use the porgram Bonk posted or gamecam or fraps.
