Topic: Where can I find some Starblazers models for Starfleet Command 3 (Read 6546 times)

Does anyone know where can I find some starblazers ships? I already have the Yamato, the Andromeda twe Gamilon Destroyers and the fighter black Tiger but I wanted some more. I know they are out there some where but cant seem to find.
Can anyone help me?

Sounds like you have all the known SB meshes available fo SFC already. (try google for Gearing - a destroyer)

If you can be patient, I am talking with someone at Sci-fi meshes.com I sent him almost every SB mesh I have from the various contacts I have made. (as most are low poly initial stages type thing) for several ships and he will try to finish them off and optimize them when he has time.

At that point not only will I have them for FS2, but if he agrees, I will re-release them for the SFC community's use (since they have supported my efforts very much!). But if that happens they STILL would need someone to convert them from a standard mesh format to SFC .mod format (I have never made a SFC file from a meash in my life). I've only exported, never imported. I don't have the tools anyway to know if the file would work anyway (like ship editing or HP-ing).

There is no timetable on this so no repeat threads or postings are needed...

COOL! I would love to see more of starblazers ships in my SF3.
I forgot to say that I also have that Gearing Destroyer but a few years ago I'm almost sure I saw somewhere a Yamato II or a New York Battleship.... Been trying to find them every where but no such luck so far. Also, I'm almost sure i've seen a Rodger Young from starship troopers somewhere a few months ago but now I can't find it... DAMN! I should have downloaded it when I got the chance

Hollis J. Wood did the Comet Empire comet/moon ship but I don't recall where it is at the moment.

lLike I said previously I got those already (except for the comet empire. If you recall where you found it please inform me). I got them from battleclinic. However, I'm pretty damn sure I saw a Yamato with wings and some other battleship (I believe it was the New Yor or something) a few years back but just can't find them anymore

Thanks anyway and please inform me if you remember anything else about that Comet Empire.
By the way. Those anyone know where I can find the Rodger Young from Starship Troopers? I know its out there also...

About the StarBlazers ships I just found something interesting
While looking for starblazers ships today I found this in StarFleet Universe

Almost at the bottom of the page there are pictures of starblazers ships made by Milkshape plugin.... something like that.
This is a proof that I was right. They are out there! The problem is I still don't know how to get them

Anyone here have Milkshape?

I doubt the Comet Empire is available anywhere. Darkdrone isn't known for saving his old models. I lost his Goa'uld fleet, and he informed me it is gone forever.

Yes it's a BORODINO class: Partial shot, but about to fire it's WMG (it was a weapon test pic, not a beauty shot)

The Hood:

The NEW York class is like 500,000 polies and is a LWO file (at the LWG site). I talked to the author and he is not releasing it (or his other high poly ones like Andromeda) for gaming purposes (it is a personal ship).

Since the person I talked to is very busy I probably won't hear from him for a few months if not years.

That's the way it is with 3d stuff... I occupy my time with diff projects in the meantime.

As for COMET EMPIRE: I have one capship and two fighters (the horshoecrab thing) also made by HERU (who made all the ships I posted above). IF tehy get remade I will also release those as Heru has been out of the community for about 3 years with no way to contact (I had been working on a Iscandar mini mod with his and Atra's models).

WHY? From Klingon Academy made several meshes 4 of which were new so I sent those already (2 EDF and 2 gamilon) Lightning, mogami, lexington and Arizona.

I sent ATOLM the Arizona, but I think he's forgotten it or lost interest. (He he)

As you can see the FS2 engine made Atra's Gamilons look amazing:

Those pic are just beautifull. Man how I would love to get my hands on those babys!. By the way. What game is that? I loved the fact the wave motion gun really builds up the energy before fire. And the guns really turn.
But from what you just said I doubt I'll ever get my hands on them in starfleet command 3

I believe it is FreeSpace 2 with the newer open source engine. You can get a utility to download the entire game here, though it will take many hours.

Its just a shame there are so few starblazers ships. I'm putting mine as the neutral race. The Arcadia is now part of the Orion Pirates race

I don't play SFC3 anymore. If I could figure out how to sell my copy for $100.00 I would LOL!

The SFC2 models in Chris Jones' mods will work in SFC3. Many times I have found LOST models in his mods.

Just download the free CV program at SFC3files, load the models and take the TI, VI and BS shots yourself. I don't have a clue about the extra lighting or reversing the heavy weapon hardpoints part but somebody else can get them fixed if its that important to you.
