nope, that can't be it, Aenigma.  He says he sees the server list, then it cuts him.  If he had a different IP he may not be able to log into the same servers he had accounts in, or maybe not even connect to the access server, but it shouldn't cut his connection.

My solution: Get ADSL.  It's just as fast (1 to 1.5 mbps), maybe a little cheaper, and uses an ethernet all the same, but not as buggy

Second guess: Firewall/Router blocks ports used for the server screen. This wouldn't explain why it did work at first, though.

Wish I had that option, after some unhelpful help from BY tech support, I reinstalled then updated the drivers for my ethernet adaptors, thinking it would solve my problems. Needless to say it didnt, so Ive had to lose a USB device in preference for the cable modem. The cheaky tech support guy, indicated that my 100megabit ethernet connection wasnt capable of handling the 1/2megabit throughput!

Funny thing is, I was "online shopping" chatting with a friend at the same time, he suggested a ram upgrade as I only have 256, so I thought great. Finaly purchased my ram (after an hour or ) only to realise I was here for my USB hub and now needed to pay P&P again lol. Just not my day!

At least I can continue using SFC3 though, it worked fine a an hour ago! Also a side note, under USB my connection has been 100% perfect, none buggy and Im quite happy with it. I do recomend blueyonder cable for cheap online gameing (no I dont work for them  )

On a side note what was that episode called in DS9 where that Klingon fleet attacked the station?

That was the "Way of the Warrior" two-part episode at the start of season 4 I think. The attack was during part II. Jeeez, DS9 was one heavily armed station, huh? Would be frightening to see it loaded with quantum torpedoes....

Cheers dude, I really want to watch that episode again and so am downloading it! I loved the DS9 series more than any other but dont want to shell out £100 plus for each series (as there were many), so am downloading my favourit episodes only (shame on me).

And yes, I suggested one thing for these super mods, which would be a DS9 style battle station. How many photon toobs did it have again? Would need 6 Negh'vars to take it, and most of them wouldn't survive muhaha.

Any chance that the server software is reading the SFC software as being emulated from A120% an is blacklisting you? I know the last update from A120% included a supposed fix for blacklisting but I myself have not loaded it yet.

I had the problem whilest using the actual cd, and found that when the CD was spinning a lot that it would go around that time. Hence my move to this, it all seems like a lack of support for or a poor NIC. It dosnt seem like a SFC3 only problem, as I had the problem in other games too eventualy.

Going back to USB is tolerable, just. Whats best though is now I dont need to have my CD in all the time!!!
